(“VBI”) offers online resources in order to provide health, medical, and product-related information, as well as corporate and financial news, employment and other information related to VBI’s business. VBI collects Personal Information through VBI owned and operated websites, online resources and other communications which includes phone, fax and/or email.
VBI utilizes the following methods to collect Personal Information:
a) Information that you provide- In most cases, VBI collects Personal Information from you that you voluntarily provide to VBI. VBI collects Personal Information and other data that you provide when you interact with VBI, such as such as registering on our websites, using any interactive features or applications, signing up to receive a newsletter or a rebate, participating in a savings program, making a direct purchase, calling or emailing us to ask questions, and contacting VBI to report information.
This Personal Information may include, but not be limited to, contact information (such as your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, user ID and password), date of birth, professional credentials, experiences, activities, skills, preferences, hobbies and interests.
Furthermore, VBI may collect health information from you in response to a quality, medical or adverse event resulting from the use of a VBI product that you provide by responding to our questions through your use of VBI’s website, safety information mailbox or safety hotline tools that VBI provides.
Some of VBI’s websites enable users to place orders for VBI products. These web sites may use external accredited third parties.
b) Information that VBI collects from your computer or electronic device- If you interact with VBI online, VBI uses cookies and other technological tools to collect data about your computer and your use of our website and applications. This information may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, Internet Service Provider (ISP), domain name, browser type, date and time of your request and information provided by tracking technologies, such as cookies, single-pixel tags, local share objects (Flash), local storage, Etags and scripts. If you use a mobile device to access VBI’s websites or online resources or to download our mobile apps, VBI may collect information about your device, such as your device ID and device type, as well as usage information about your device and your use of our mobile web sites and other mobile resources. c) Information from public or third-party information sources- VBI may collect Personal Information about health care professionals who register on VBI web sites from public or third-party information sources to verify their professional credentials and identity. VBI may collect additional data from other sources, such as public records, and/or third-party data suppliers who enhance our files, and/or from social media sites such as Facebook or social networking; communities, forums, and message boards; blogging, microblogging, and vlogging; wikis; social bookmarking; and podcasts.
3. Why does VBI collect, use and disclose Personal Information?
a) Generally- VBI collects Personal Information online as necessary to enable individuals to register for, customize, and personalize certain of VBI’s online resources and communications. VBI uses Personal Information collected online to provide products, features and other resources that individuals have requested (e.g., educational literature and related information about our business and products, e-mail programs, tools, and surveys). We analyze Personal Information collected online to identify and offer additional services and promotions that we believe you might find interesting. We evaluate use of some online resources and communications with non-identifiable or aggregate information only. We also may use Personal Information to audit our online resources for compliance, authorized access, and security.
b) Pharmacovigilance- VBI is under a legal obligation under applicable pharmacovigilance and product safety and quality legislation in regions where its products are approved for marketing to collect certain Personal Information after the occurrence of a product safety or adverse event pertaining to its products.
By way of example, VBI complies with, including but not limited to, the obligations promulgated in the Good Pharmacovigilance Practices (“GVP”), to collect specific Personal Information relating to the safety of its product for reasons of public interest in the area of public health or depending on applicable jurisdiction based on your consent. In doing so, legal obligations require VBI to take “detailed records” of every adverse event referred to VBI to evaluate the event. In doing so, VBI may collect the following Personal Information: name or initials; contact details for follow up purposes (when relevant); age (date of birth, if provided); gender; weight and height; details of the product you were using, dosage information, details of other medicines you were taking, treatment received etc. Furthermore, some of this information is considered by law to be “sensitive Personal Information” which may include any information about your health.
c) Quality and Medical Inquiry-VBI may collect Personal Information to the extent necessary to meet quality control requirements and medical inquiry requests as relates to its products. This type of collection is due to applicable legal obligations imposed on VBI in regions where VBI’s products received marketing approval. Your Personal Information will be collected either in accordance with this legal obligation or based on your consent which would be obtained at the time of collection.
The Personal Information VBI may collect about you when you are the subject of a quality complaint report is: name and contact details; health related details depending on the nature of the complaint or details on the relevant product and events. Further, the Personal Information VBI may collect about you in response to a medical inquiry may be your name and contact details and details of your inquiry that you provided.
4. How VBI Uses Personal Information
a) Generally- VBI may use your Personal Information for its business purposes, such as:
- To respond to your requests for information, products, services;
- To provide you with marketing communications and offers for products and services;
- If you have a business or professional relationship with VBI, to develop our business relationship with you;
- For our research and development efforts;
- To monitor and analyze our respective business operations and website and other applications usage;

b) Legal and regulatory purposes- As part of meeting our pharmacovigilance and other legal and regulatory obligations, VBI may share Personal Information to: investigate the adverse event, quality complaint or medical inquiries; contact you for further information about the adverse event, quality complaint or medical inquiries you reported; collate the information about the adverse event, quality complaint or medical inquiry with information about other adverse events, quality complaint or medical inquiries received by VBI to perform tests to confirm the safety of a batch; and provide mandatory reports to applicable national and/or regional authorities so that they can perform test to confirm the safety of a batch.

5. When and Why Personal Information Is Disclosed by VBI

PreHevbrio is indicated for prevention of infection caused by all known subtypes of hepatitis B virus. PreHevbrio is approved for use in adults 18 years of age and older.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Do not administer PreHevbrio to individuals with a history of severe allergic reaction (e.g. anaphylaxis) after a previous dose of any hepatitis B vaccine or to any component of PreHevbrio.
INDICATION
PreHevbrio is indicated for prevention of infection caused by all known subtypes of hepatitis B virus. PreHevbrio is approved for use in adults 18 years of age and older.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Do not administer PreHevbrio to individuals with a history of severe allergic reaction (e.g. anaphylaxis) after a previous dose of any hepatitis B vaccine or to any component of PreHevbrio.
Appropriate medical treatment and supervision must be available to manage possible anaphylactic reactions following administration of PreHevbrio.
Immunocompromised persons, including those on immunosuppressant therapy, may have a diminished immune response to PreHevbrio.
PreHevbrio may not prevent hepatitis B infection, which has a long incubation period, in individuals who have an unrecognized hepatitis B infection at the time of vaccine administration.
The most common side effects (> 10%) in adults age 18-44, adults age 45-64, and adults age 65+ were pain and tenderness at the injection site, myalgia, fatigue, and headache.
